ITANAGAR, Aug 23: In a noble gesture, the Friendship Knight Killers group on Saturday donated essential commodities to the Deepak Nabam Living Home here in the capital.
Basically a friendship group, Friendship Knight Killers is driven by the objective of creating a better society for the coming generation with examples that would inspire youths to take up social issues seriously. “To achieve this, we decided to visit the Deepak Nabam Living Home which works for the wellbeing of the ill, widows, substance users, outcasts from society and communities etc.” its member Toko Prem said.
“We have made a little contribution from our end and it was sad to learn that Deepak Nabam doesn't enjoy any support from government/NGOs and has to depend only on a few well-wishers for running the Home currently sheltering 116 people,” he said, appealing the common people and NGOs to come forward with contributions and support.
