ITANAGAR, Jun 29: One more death of a Covid patient on Tuesday took the state’s casualty toll to 168 and new recoveries were less than fresh cases by more than 100.
Casualties
The lone casualty was of an 85-yr old male from Lohit district who died in his residence in Jeko village, Sunpura. He was inoculated with the first dose in April and was not suffering from any comorbidity. COVID-19 ARDS has been identified as the cause of death. Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
Of the 344 new cases (asymptomatic 162; symptomatic 182), ICR, Kurung Kumey, Daadi, Upper Subansiri and East Siang were the most affected districts with 84, 62, 29 and 29 respectively. There were 233 recoveries from across the state with ICR (58), West Kameng (42), East Siang (28), East Kameng (17) and Lohit (12) the top five districts. The state currently has 2687 active Covid patients and a recovery count of 32716. 4901 samples were collected from across the state on the day with a maximum from the ICR (1037).
Vaccination
In the '18 years and above' age category, 6566 took their first dose on the day that took the coverage percentage to 61. 709 took their 2nd shot which in terms of percentage is 11.
Occupancy status
At the CCCs till 8 pm on Tuesday evening it was: 43 at DCH Chimpu, 27 at SQF Lekhi, 1 at DCHC Midpu, 8 at DCH Pasighat and 23 at DCHC.
