LONGDING, Dec 26: A free diagnostic laboratory was inaugurated here at the District Hospital on Thursday last by CO Longding Taya Yullo. Making the inauguration, the CO said the facility which was long overdue will relieve the district’s people from visiting Assam for simple diagnostic tests. Established under the public-private partnership model, the facility is in line with the initiative of the government to roll out specific laboratory services such as high-end and low-volume tests under the national free diagnostic scheme. The laboratory will have the facilities clinical pathology, serology and biochemistry tests. The inaugural ceremony was attended by DMO Dr Worar Taku, DRCHO Dr Aza Miyu, other health officials and the hospital’s doctors, nurses and paramedics. DIPRO
