YINGKIONG, Jul 12: Four persons including a female were arrested by Yingkiong police in connection with trespassing and theft. The three males and a female were arrested by the police following a case registered at Mariyang police station here for criminal trespass and theft in six granaries at Adi Pasi village.
The arrested persons were identified as Vijay Tamin (29), Kangkinam Tate (26), Boken Tatan (30) and Yamang Rina (53).
Responding to the FIR registered in the police station on July 1 last, the district police constituted a special investigation team comprising Officer in Charge (Yingkiong) Inspector T. Tamut, Sub Inspector D. Panggam and others who cracked the case in nine days.
The looted items include mainly traditional beads, brass ornaments costing approximately Rs. 11.66 lakhs. A Maruti 800 car used to commit the crime has also been seized.The arrest was made possible with the help of the Call Monitoring Control Unit (CMCU) Itanagar Police and chronic electronic supervision, comprehensive investigation of all accessible evidence.
