Doimukh, Aug 9: In two separate incidents, the Papum Pare district police have arrested four persons recovering a total of 35 vials of suspected heroin from the arrestees.
Under the supervision of SP Papum Pare and SDPO Doimukh on Saturday last at around 20.00 hrs two persons identified as Nabam Jacob (18 yrs) and Taba Tallar (20 yrs) were apprehended by a team of Doimukh Police led by SI Niri Rama from the Railway Naka Point. As per investigation report, both the accused were caught when they were coming from the Assam side in one KTM Duke motorcycle and after search 22 plastic vials containing suspected heroin were seized. On interrogation they disclosed that they are habitual users of heroin and went to Banderdewa (Assam side) and purchased 10 vials each containing suspected heroin at a cost of Rs1200 per vial.
Meanwhile, in another case two persons namely Moge Ado (23 yrs) and Togo Rebe (23 yrs) were arrested by the Doimukh Police team led by SI M. Hussain on Friday at 2130 hrs when duo were coming in a Scooty at Gumto Naka Point near railway station and 13 plastic vials containing heroin were also recovered and seized.
All the four arrested persons were remanded to judicial custody. DIPRO
