ITANAGAR, Dec 7: United Leil Tara Foundation (ULTF) on Monday appealed for speedy trial of all accused involved in the Techi Meena Lishi murder case by transferring the case to a fast track court to dispense immediate justice to the victim and her family.
In a representation addressed to the Chief Minister, the foundation also thanked and commended the police department for their prompt action and breakthrough in the case by apprehending all the accused including the prime accused Lishi Roni within a short period.
It also urged the CM to direct the police department to investigate the alleged NSCN nexus with the main accused and to use the intelligence network to find out about NSCN's involvement in the murder case.
"We would also like to urge the CM to give necessary direction to the police department to expedite the framing of chargesheet at the earliest by transferring the case to Fast Track Court for speedy trial and conviction of the accused to give justice to the victim and her unborn child," it stated.
