ITANAGAR, Sep 26: Seeking justice for Archer Sorang Yumi, the Anti-Corruption Foundation on Sunday staged a protest at the tennis court, near IG park, Itanagar, seeking SIC investigation in order to regularize the case and suspension of Director of Sports and Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) including the Secretary Sports. “The forum served 10 days ultimatum to the state government while threatening to hold mass protest if the government fails to address their demands within the provided time period,” informed Tai Tahar, Chairman of the issue while speaking to media persons.
Hundreds of members from different NGOs and students organizations also joined the dharna. Holding placards and banners they demanded justice for the Archer and proper investigation to unearth the truth behind the corruption.
Earlier, Sorang Yumi had alleged SAA director and sports director of the state of appointing their relatives as archery instructor and coach, while denying her the post.
