ITANAGAR, Dec 12: Former MLA of Itanagar, Kipa Babu has sustained injuries in a head-on collision with a car on Saturday on his way home from Sagalee. According to a family member, Babu was hit by an over speeding maruti 800 while he was on his motorbike after attending a programme at Lumdung in East Kameng district. After the accident, he was admitted to TRIHMS from where he was flown to Guwahati today. “Kipa Babu has been admitted at Excelcare Hospital where tests are being run. He has suffered fracture of collarbone and ribs and bleeding in his brain,” said the family member. Reportedly, he is yet to regain consciousness. Meanwhile, an FIR has just been lodged at Sagalee police station regarding the incident.
