ITANAGAR, Apr 21: The SIC (Vig) this evening arrested the Joint Secretary Research, GoAP, an accused in the case related to irregularities in land compensation of railway segment in East Siang district.
The case refers to SIC (Vig) PS Itanagar , Case no 03/2021 u/s 120B, 409, 468 and 471 of the IPC r/w Sec 13(1)(c)(d) and 13(2) of PC Act 1988; Dated 15/3/2021.
During the course of investigation one of the accused Tamiyo Tatak, APCS presently serving as Joint Secretary Research, GoAP has been arrested from Pasighat this evening, a release from the SP, SIC ( Vig) read. This matter pertains to the irregularities committed during the entire process of land acquisition (fixation of land value & disbursement of the compensation) for construction of 'Ruksin-Pasighat’ segment of Broad Gauge Railway line from Murkongselek (Assam) to Pasighat.
Mr Tatak had served as DC East Siang during 2017 when the disbursement of compensation was done. Further investigation in this case is going on, the statement further reads.
