Roing, Aug 14: Free fish seed fingerlings were distributed to 150 beneficiaries of Lower Dibang Valley by Zilla Parishad Chairperson Obang Ngupok at Roing. A total of two lakhs fish seed fingerlings were distributed to 150 progressive fish farmers from Hunli-Desali, Roing-Koronu and Anpum-Paglam blocks. The endeavour aims to motivate progressive fish farmers to take up fish farming on a large scale for enhanced fish production in the district and for the district to become self reliant in fish production. The ZPC advised the farmers to take advantage of government schemes to sustain their economy through fish farming activities for self reliance.   DFDO Nabam Tania informed about the technical aspects to be followed while releasing fish seed fingerlings into the ponds.
