LOTH, Dec 11: A financial literacy camp was held in Loth village of Upper Yachuli Circle on Saturday.The camp was held to facilitate various banking assistance to the villagers as well as to Government School students in opening bank accounts; to avail government subsidies and benefits under central and state welfare schemes.
Besides providing forms and assistance in opening bank accounts, the bank staff also created awareness on various schemes and policies under banking sector like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) ,Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (APY), mobile banking, kisan credit cards etc.
They also created awareness on banking frauds and appealed to all the public to be aware of such practices.
Six banks participated in the financial literacy camp.Around 200 villagers from Loth, Linia,Tajgi, Belam, Tader-Ko and Raka benefitted from the outreach program.
