Itanagar, Nov 2: Home Minister Bamang Felix on Monday laid the foundation stone of the State Disaster Response Force Headquarters at Holongi.
Speaking on the occasion, the home minister said that SDRF has always been playing a stellar role during natural calamity in the spheres of disaster management in the state and people of the state depend on their services during such critical times.
He also said SDRF is a key pillar in the state's disaster preparedness mechanism and SDRF provides services during critical situations which have been instrumental in saving both life and property.
He also honoured five SDRF police personnel for their commendable services in the various operations.
Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara, newly selected disaster management advisor Tanpho Wangnaw, MLA Longding also accompanied Felix.
