ITANAGAR, Jan 13: Expressing concern over the long delay in completion of the construction works at the Film & Television Institute (FTI) Itanagar, Information & Public Relations Minister Bamang Felix today directed the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Itanagar officials to expedite the construction works and to complete it in a time-bound manner.
The IPR Minister gave the direction during a meeting here today with the CPWD Executive Engineer Prasoon Kumar Pal, in presence of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRF&TI), Kolkata, Director Himangshu Khatua, Director, IPR Onyok Pertin, and other officials of the SRF&TI and DIPR, Naharlagun.
The meeting was convened following the recent visit of SRF&TI, Kolkata officials to the upcoming FTI, Itanagar, which was led by SRF&TI, Kolkata, Director Khatua.
While discussing the construction work progress and allied undertakings, the Minister assured all possible assistance for its early completion. 
CPWD Executive Engineer Pal on his part informed that almost all civil construction works have been completed while only technical aspects of the work s are to be completed.
Meanwhile, the visiting SRF&TI officials also called on Chief Secretary Dharmendra and submitted a memorandum pertaining to the FTI, Jote.
