ITANAGAR, Feb 15: With the objective of reviving the activities of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan (HAA) in the state capital after Covid-19 pandemic, Home Minister Bamang Felix today convened a meeting here at his official residence wherein Mayor, IMC  Tame Phassang, Deputy Mayor  Biri Basang, IMC corporators and high-level officials participated.
Giving a call to the stakeholders to reinvigorate HAA activities in the capital which were halted due to the pandemic, Felix urged all corporators to work with dedication for upliftment of their respective wards in particular and the ICR in general. Besides asking them to form Green Committees, Clean Committees and Traffic Management Committees in all sectors, he suggested inclusion of youths as volunteers in sectors/wards to oversee traffic management. Opining that change in thought process is necessary for bringing perceptible betterment in the state capital, Felix urged all to take the challenge of transforming Itanagar to one of the cleanest cities of the country from its current status of ‘one of the dirtiest’.
While asking the corporators to liaise with the sector/ward-wise Nodal Officers to carry out HAA in a collaborative way, the Home Minister suggested organizing a one-hour social service every Saturday
in all wards and formation of Mothers’ Associations in all sectors. The Mayor on behalf of Team IMC assured to work for pursuing the objectives of HAA while reiterating the need for practicing zero tolerance against corruption. ICR DC  Komkar Dulom assured to provide full support and cooperation from the District Administration’s end including logistics support in making HAA successful. The corporators were also asked to collect Atma Nirbhar seeds from the office of the DC to be planted in their respective wards.
SP Neelam Nega, Commissioner, IMC  Cheechung Chukhu, Corporators and Nodal officers appointed under HAA and a team of District Administration, ICR led by the DC attended the meeting. Felix later informed that the next HAA review meeting will be held on March 15. DIPRO
