BANDERDEWA, Aug 8: Home Minister Bamang Felix today visited the  site where a  Mega Food Park will come up in Tarajuli area near Banderdewa circle of Papum Pare district.
During the inspection, Felix also took stock of the condition of the under-construction road leading to the Mega Food park site  and other plantation activities carried out in the vicinity under the banner of "Green Gold".
Talking to the media, Felix said that Coronavirus Pandemic has given us a lesson to become self-sufficient and asked all to adopt kitchen gardening practices as a new normal in this COVID era.
He emphasised on ‘vocal for local’ and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and said that kitchen gardens and homestead farms can serve as regular sources of fresh, nutritious and safe-to-eat vegetables and fruits.
"The upcoming Mega Food Park will also offer buybacks of several food products.  I urge the farmers to cultivate extensive produce so that they can earn by selling their products as well for their own consumption," Felix emphasised assuring to make the food park functional very soon.
