ITANAGAR, Sep 28: In the run-up to the roll-out of the Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan, State Home Minister Bamang Felix on Friday convened a pre-launch meeting with the Community Based Organisations here at the Police headquarters. 
While seeking cooperation and support from the CBOs to make the mission a mass movement, Felix informed that the much awaited grand launch will be on October 2 at I.G Park commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. “Chief Minister Pema Khandu has consented to launch the mission-mode programme which is expected to have a huge participation from all stakeholders” Home Minister revealed. Briefing on HAA, he said that it is a cradle of citizens and police joining hands for building a cohesive atmosphere in the state. “The mission with the tag line ‘Chalo Banaye Behtar Arunachal’ aims at bringing together people from every strata of the society for creating a beautiful Arunachal of our dreams,” Felix said, crediting all the ministers for positively supporting the idea of the Home Ministry.
Highlighting the main objectives of HAA, Felixsaid that through this campaign, all stakeholders will try becoming responsible citizens through promotion of police-public partnership, strengthening of bonhomie amongst the diverse communities and  curbing of drug menaces, domestic violence, child abuse, crime against women, instilling better traffic management etc.  “There are innumerable benefits of the campaign which will connect public in making the state better. It will instil a sense of security and confidence among entrepreneurs, outside investors & tourists, pave the way for better developmental processes and make Arunachal a safe state for each and every individual,” he added besides appealing the CBOsto be a part of the ambitious campaign. CBOs present also agreed to support the mission wholeheartedly, assuring to take it forward as a ‘Jan Bhagidari’.
Earlier, DIGP  Apur Briton briefed about the police initiatives while DIGP Kime Kaming thanked the delegates for their presence. HAA volunteers gave a detailed Power Point Presentation on the campaign. Among others, Secretary Home C N Longphai was also present on the occasion which saw the participation by therepresentatives from 17 major tribes of the state led by Arunachal Indigenous Tribes Forum.
