ITANAGAR, Apr 3:  The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) led by its president Dobing Sonam and general secretary Gyamar Talik in a memorandum submitted to the Northern Frontier Railway (NFR) general manager (GM) has appealed the latter to change the ticketing counter’s timing at Naharlagun Railway Station.

Stating that the present timing of 8 am to 2 pm is not feasible for people coming to cut tickets from far flung areas and also for the working class, the federation in its letter appealed the GM to change the current timing to 8 am to 8 pm.

The union in its memorandum further appealed the NFR GM to introduce a new train from Naharlagun to Guwahati that runs in the daytime and also increase manpower at the railway station.

Introduction of Wi-Fi zone at the station and installation of an ATM were the other demands of AAPPTF.

It was informed that the GM has assured to look into the demands and suggestion of the federation.
