Dollungmukh, Sep 15: A training programme on Oil Palm practices under Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) was organized by the Department of Agriculture, Kamle district, Raga here at Kher Bari village on Saturday.
Addressing the 100 plus farmers who attended the programme, Kamle DDA, Dani Yubbey highlighted the activities, schemes and programmes undertaken by the Agriculture Department and encouraged them to take up oil palm cultivation through scientific and technical support. Resource Person Tapas Kumar Tripathy presented a Power Point Presentation and while sharing the success stories of many farmers across Arunachal, he reiterated about the vast potential of palm oil cultivation in coming years. Taking note of the humid tropical climate of Dollungmukh which is very conducive for palm oil cultivation, he encouraged the farmers to take up this cultivation seriously.
Raga ADO, Koj Horming also exhorted the farmers to make best use of their vast land and try oil palm cultivation for a sustainable livelihood. DIPRO
