PASIGHAT, Jul 5:In an effort to acquaint framers on hygienic methods of fish preservation, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), East Siang in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra East Siang, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Central Agriculture University, Pasighat organized a day long skill development training cum demonstration programme on “Low Cost Solar Fish Drying Method” for the farming community of Mebo block of East Siang.
In the programme, hands-on training cum demonstration on methods of construction of low cost solar dryer and process of fish drying was demonstrated to progressive farmers. The low cost solar dryer can be constructed by utilizing locally available material viz. bamboo, wood, white and black polythene sheet. During the programme, altogether 44 progressive farmers were trained about the procedure of fish preservation by using salting and sun drying method hygienically. 
Four units of low cost solar dryers were also distributed to  group of farmers.
