ZIRO, Apr 13: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri Somcha Lowang, distributed and handed over farm machinery to selected beneficiaries of Ziro-I and Ziro-II circle today.
The Agri Farm Machinery is a  part of the credit linked Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana during 2021-22, where 45% of the scheme amount is funded by the state government as subsidy, 45% as  bank loan and 10% farmer contribution. 
The DC requested the farmers to take advantage of the farmer friendly programme and make every effort to  utilize the scheme properly and ensure  that the loan components is repaid to the banks properly.
She also lauded the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, AHV and Fisheries department and the Bankers for their efforts in meeting the targets and the aspirations of the government in creating a self reliant chain of agricultural practices.
DAO Tasso Butung, DHO Komri Murtem, DVO Dr. Hano Tama and bank officials were also present during the distribution programme.
