ITANAGAR, Nov 25: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Constitution Day to be observed on November 26.
Highlighting the importance of the day which is celebrated across the country to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution, the most exhaustive written Constitution in the world, the Governor said it is due to this document, justice, liberty and equality to all citizens of the country have been ensured. While remembering the Constitution’s architect, Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar, he appealed to the citizens of the state to uphold the sanctity of the Indian Constitution particularly the Fundamental Duties.
“Today, our Nation is facing the threat of coronavirus. In discharge of our fundamental duties and in true spirit of our Constitution, let us follow and adhere to the COVID SOPs by wearing face masks, washing hands frequently and maintaining social distancing,” the Governor said in his message.
