KIMIN, Jun 1: Around 600 bags of rice and essential items were distributed to the needy people of Kimin Circle in Papum Pare district today by ZPM Bamang Yayu and Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS & T) Bamang Mangha.
While distributing the essentials to the villagers of Cher, Hawa Camp, Durpa, Lora, Belo, Jumi and other areas of the Circle, the ZPM appealed to them to abide by the latest SOPs, reminding the ferocity of the 2nd wave. “Whatever we have distributed is very small compared to the needs. But it would give relief to all those who are staying indoors for several weeks and amid the difficulties caused by heavy downpour,” she said while appealing all to go for Covid testing and vaccination. The APSCS&T Chairman informed that around 600 bags of rice have been distributed to the locals along with 2000 pieces of facemasks and a further lot of 5000 has been given to the local leaders, party functionaries and volunteers who will distribute them in their respective areas. Sanitizer bottles had also been distributed along with encouraging the locals to go for Covid vaccination and testing, Mangha informed.
Papum Pare BJP district In-charge L Boje, district BJP President Teshi Sony, State General Secretary (Minority Morcha) Goken Bam were among other senior leaders of the party who motivated the locals to maintain Covid SOPs.
