ITANAGAR, Oct 5: A day after an Assam Rifles jawan was martyred and another injured in an ambush carried out allegedly by the NSCN(K) and ULFA militants in Changlang district, the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) while strongly condemning the attack has expressed condolence over the loss of life.
In its press communiqué issued on Monday, ENNG has categorically stated that it condemns such acts of terror to disrupt peace and tranquillity in the TCL region. “The ULFA has no right to confront any security force in the TCL area as per their political ideology. During the past few decades, it had caused huge harassment and pain to the people of the area which still remain unhealed. ENNG rebukes such an act of violence intended to disrupt peace and development of the region,” the release mentioned.
“At this juncture, the Naga political leaders must refrain themselves from such misguided policy perusal which goes against the Naga national political interest,” the release added.
