Tezu, Sep 13: The Education Commissioner, Padmini Singla today inspected 10 schools and 2 ECCE here at Tezu in Lohit District. She interacted with the teachers and students of these schools.
Later a meeting was held at the DC's conference hall, where she interacted with the Deputy Commissioner, DDSE, Principals, Head masters, Head mistress and other prominent faculty members. 
During the meeting, DC Lohit, Marge Sora exhorted the teachers to motivate their students to set goals and influence them in a positive manner to achieve these goals. He said teachers must set examples for students to follow as students believe what they see. He asked the teachers to inculcate in their students the habit of reading books besides course text books.
Speaking on the occasion,  Singla instructed BRCC and CRCC to carry out regular visits to different schools in the district.  She said that remedial teaching for weaker students is must hence teacher must identify such students. She set a goal of 10 percent increase in Class 10 and Class 12th results for every school. Exhorting the DDSE and teachers to properly utilise the limited resources, she also directed all Principals and head masters to have a functional library in each school.

She assured to work on shortage of subject teachers and development of school infrastructure as per government guidelines.
