PASIGHAT, Mar 20: The 1st edition of East Siang District Women's Football Tournament-2021 kicked off today here at the Doying Gumin football ground.
Total of 6 teams from Siang, Lohit and East Siang are participating in the tournament which will conclude on March 31.
The tournament is being organized by Doying Gumin Football Training Centre in collaboration with Adi Bane Kebang Women’s Wing, East Siang district. Secretary, Games and Sports, ABK (Apex) cum Managing Director, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board Okit Paling as chief guest encouraged the players to display sportsman spirit. Secretary, ABK Women’s Wing Oming Jamoh Pertin, its President, East Siang unit Oti Sitang Eko, President, District Football Association General Jamoh, President, Arunachal Pradesh Football Players' Association Taying Anthony were among others present during the inaugural ceremony.
In the opening match, Tezu Town Club defeated Siang United by a solitary goal scored in the 47th minute by Dimin Ngadong.
