PASIGHAT, Dec 9: The “Swachhata App” for online complaints registration of civic related issues within Pasighat Urban Local Body (ULB) was launched today by the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Kinny Singh in presence of Sukhvinder Singh, CEO, Pasighat Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) and officers of Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) and National Informatics Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh informed that the app will enable  citizens to post civic-related issue (eg; garbage dump) to the ULB concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward.  She informed that the Swachhata application is a fourth generation complaint redressal mobile and web platform which is the official app of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India and being presented as the solution for all the 4041 towns and cities of India. It is going to be a quantum leap in how complaints and grievances is going to be redressed by Pasighat Municipal Council.
The DC while informing that one can download the app from the Google Play-Store added that the app has been prepared in the line of simplicity of use & ease of reporting. She urged upon the citizen of Pasighat to actively use “Swachhata-MoHUA App” after downloading it from the Play Store as this app is more of end to end user and agency interface platform. Reliance on this app will create more robust citizen service delivery system for Pasighat Municipal Council than the present practice of using helpline number and random complaints being lodged through Whatsapp and other social media platform, she added.  A follow up familiarization training on its operation and applicability was conducted by Devraj Singh, District Informatics Officer (DIO), NIC for the officers and officials of the PMC and PSCDCL. The app offers facilities to users to ‘Locate the complaint’ with ease, gives regular complaint status updates, push notification when resolved, reopen unresolved complaint and provide feedback on complaints with regard to civic services, informed DIO Singh.
