PASIGHAT, May 3: Expressing concern over the possibility of coronavirus spreading in the district and also on recommendation of the District Core Committee, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh has issued fresh guidelines and regulations on Sunday with immediate effect.
To ensure availability of essential items, all business establishments including shops and Sabji mandis shall be operational from 8am to 6pm and Rs. 2000 shall be imposed on all violators found operating beyond the stipulated timing. “No Mask No Service” policy should be strictly adopted and physical distance should be maintained by the shopkeepers and customers besides avoiding crowding and queuing within the shop premises, the order read.
Singh further directed that all restaurants/ bakeries/ eateries/ cafes should offer only “Take-Away” services and no dine-in service shall be permitted. Salon/ barber shop/ beauty parlour should operate only 50 percent capacity and ensure thermal screening and wearing masks of customers. Failing which a fine amounting Rs. 2000 will be imposed for violation and may lead to sealing of shop and cancellation of Trading Licence of the owner/shopkeeper. 
Singh further directed the bank authorities for regular sanitization of all ATMs and temporarily suspend all kind of sports tournament, by issuing the order. However, she instructed the school and college authorities to allow 25 persons to school/college ground and for indoor games and sports, only 50 percent capacity is permitted after mandatory thermal screening and wearing masks.
The DC directed the Magistrate on duty and Special Task Force to ensure strict enforcement of Covid Appropriate Behaviour at Komlighat River Front and Raneghat River Front in evening hours. 
Observing that there has been a spate of Covid positive cases in other parts of the country, DC Singh urged the citizens in general to avoid hosting big indoor gatherings and sought wholehearted cooperation in making East Siang a Covid-free district. East Siang administration is committed to caring for the health and well-being of the district residents, she stated adding that as per the drafted plan the vaccines were administered category wise and each of the beneficiary should come forward for vaccination as these vaccine are fully safe.
