PASIGHAT, Dec 3: To identify Health Care Workers (HCW), both from the government and private institutions for smooth vaccination process of Covid-19, East Siang district has identified 1362 HCWs when the vaccination is made available to the district, informed DC Dr. Kinny Singh today while reviewing the District Task Force meeting on Covid-19 vaccinations arrangement, held at the Siang Guest House Conference Hall, Pasighat. 
She informed that the objective of the meeting was to take advance and preparatory steps to introduce Covid-19 vaccine supposed to be administered in the district. Considering the magnitude of the exercise, advance planning and preparation was necessary, the DC opined and noted all the inputs and suggestions offered by the DTF members during the meeting. 
While expressing hope that roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine would be smooth and successful, Dr. Singh informed that the whole exercise of vaccination would be taken up in a phase-wise manner. Identified healthcare workers would be immunized during the first phase. State and central police, armed forces, home guard and civil defense organization including disaster management volunteers and municipal workers etc would be vaccinated in the second phase. Persons above age of fifty years in the third phase and persons below fifty years with associated comorbidities would be given the vaccine in the next phase, she added.  
DC Singh appealed the citizens of East Siang in particular not to spread fake information/rumor pre and post vaccination in the interest of the nation and to disseminate right information to the society to make the mission smooth and successful.  
Among others, SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh, DMO Dr. Kaling Dai, MS, BPGH Dr. YR Darang, DRCHO Dr. T Gao, MO In-charge of CHCs, PHCs and representatives of education department and NGOs attended the meeting. 
DMO Dr. Kaling Dai updated the house presenting a brief report on preparation of the district and informed that block Level Task Force has been constituted and started functioning. DRCHO Dr. T Gao through power point presentation gave a detail report based on data available with the department. DIPRO
