PASIGHAT, May 20: The Public Bus Stand area to HDFC Bank under ward-7 in the East Siang district headquarters, Pasighat was declared as Micro Containment Zone on Wednesday and all residents of the area have been put under 14-day home quarantine.
Pasighat Municipal Council under supervision of health officials has sanitized the area immediately and the movement of people for supply of essential items and other emergency services has been regulated. DMO has been directed to collect samples of the primary and secondary contacts for Covid-19 tests as per SOP.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Kinny Singh while stressing on stricter vigil in the area suggested to all Covid-19 positive patients under home isolation to register themselves in eSanjeevani OPD portal (https://esanjeevaniopd.in) which provides online OPD consultation.
Meanwhile to apprise the stakeholders on present Covid-19 situation of the district and also to gather their views regarding future course of action, a virtual meeting was convened by the DC on Wednesday which was attended by Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, SP Sumit Jha, DMO Dr. Kaling Dai among others. Sharing his views, MLA Ninong Ering appreciated the efforts of the District Administration and Police in enforcing Covid appropriate behavior including wearing masks. As there is a spike in Covid cases everywhere, there should be no laxity in efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 and lockdown may be enforced as a last resort, he advised.
DMO Dr. Kaling Dai and ZPC Olen Rome said that situation may be observed for a few days and micro containment zones may be declared instead of complete lockdown. DMO also informed that Mass Testing and Tracing Campaign will start from Friday. DIPRO
