PASIGHAT, Sep 23: Apprehending breach of peace and tranquility in Kora and Bilat Circles due to public gatherings, the East Siang district administration has clamped 144CrPC in the area with immediate effect from September 23  until further orders.
Anticipating breach of peace and disturbance to public tranquility, East Siang District Magistrate Dr. Kinny Singh has under provisions of Section 144 CrPC prohibited the assembly of four or more persons in public places falling under Kora and Bilat Circles without prior permission from the competent authority. The DM also prohibited carrying of any lethal weapons/sharp objects/Arms and entry of non-residents in the area without any valid reason. (DIPRO)
