ITANAGAR, Oct 27: East Kameng stormed into the Quarter Finals of the ongoing Arunachal State Women’s Football Championship 2021 by defeating Namsai 4-0 in the match played today at SLSA Ground, Chimpu.
All four goals were scored by Ato Tania Liyak of East Kameng in the   8th,35th, 40th and 55th minutes of the match. Namsai who were playing their first match in the Championship could not put any serious threat for East Kameng defense throughout the match.
Mechang Veo of East Kameng was adjudged Player of the Match.
In the second match of the day East Siang came strong after conceding defeat in their first match and  displayed brilliant team effort to register a comfortable 5-0 win against Kra Daadi.
Team Captain Minam Taki opened the scoring for East Siang in the 9th minute of first half. Adi Mize doubled the lead in the 45th minute of the second half with brilliantly placed free kick which was later increased through the goal by Osinam Rio (48’). Later Minam completed her brace in the 49th minute. Last goal of the match was scored by Guni Saroh (79’) to take the match away from Kra Daadi’s reach. 
Minam Taki was declared Player of the Match for her all round performance.
Lohit Vs Lower Dibang Valley and Women's College, Lekhi Vs Papum Pare are matches lined up for Thursday.
