Bomdila, Feb 25: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), West Kameng District, in collaboration with 12 Bn NDRF, Itanagar conducted a mock exercise on earthquake disaster preparedness at Bomdila.
The exercise aimed to assess the preparedness, coordination, and response mechanisms of different line departments and emergency responders in the event of a major earthquake.
During the Exercise, Rescue and evacuation operations were carried out by the NDRF team. Victims were identified and rescued from the affected sites, and first aid was provided to the injured on the spot. Injured persons were shifted to the General Hospital for further medical attention, following standard emergency response protocols. (DIPRO)
