PASIGHAT, Sep 26: Under the chairmanship of ADC (Hq) Tatdo Borang, the District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) under the aegis of District Health Society on Friday reviewed the preparation of the ensuing 2nd National Deworming Day (NDD) scheduled between October 1 to 15. The meeting also included orientation and sensitization on Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) and Measles Rubella (MR) surveillance, held here at the DC’s conference hall.
Chairing the meeting, ADC Borang asked the Medical Officers and representatives of PHCs, CHCs and Bakin Pertin General Hospital, Pasighat to achieve 100 percent immunization/coverage. He informed that due to Covid-19, unlike previous years, ASHAs, AWWs and ANMs would visit and deworm children of age 1 to 19 years under NDD this time. Borang also held an open discussion on AFP and MR with the participating stakeholders and expressed hope the district could achieve target with coordination between blocks and district levels adding that corrective measures must be taken seriously to address all odds.
Earlier during performance review, DMO Dr. Kaling Dai stressed on timely submission of report on NDD, AFP and MR and instructed all to ensure that data should tally with record register (source). DRCHO Dr. T. Gao made ppt on strategies, plans and achievements of DTFI and briefed on AFP and MR.
The meeting was also attended by the Dr. YR Darang (BPGH), representatives of PMC, DDSE and WCD.
