BOMDILA, Jul 14: District & Sessions Court, Bomdila today convicted a man to 7 years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 2000 on charges of raping a girl.
The said convict Gopal Kino hails from Numora under Seijosa PS of Pakke Kesang district. The crime was committed in October, 2012 when the victim was proceeding towards Passo river for taking bath. The incident was reported to Seijosa Police and a case (No.20/13 U/S 376 of the IPC) was registered at Seijosa Police Station. The victim’s medical examination was conducted at CHC, Seijosa.
The court has further directed Pakke Kesang Police to shift the accused from judicial custody, Bomdila to Jully Jail, Itanagar. DIPRO
