CHARJU, Jul 17: Deputy Commissioner, Tirap district Taro Mize today inaugurated the 63 KVA mini substation for Care Me Home Drugs De-addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre here and launched its website.
Both the events were organised on the day to mark one-year completion of the centre. Chairperson, CMHDDACRC Sontung Bangsia while briefing about Care Me Home Welfare Society, the NGO running the centre informed that a temporary de-addiction camp has been functionalised at Primary School Charju for service holder patients. Appreciating the District Administration, elected representatives and well-wishers for extending constant support to the centre, the Chairperson lauded the state government for taking bold steps to eliminate the menace of drugs from Arunachal Pradesh. Narrating the year-long journey, Dr. Chelo Pumao informed that till date 88 patients have been admitted in CMHDDACRC, out of which 66 had been discharged after full recovery. The centre’s counsellor Manlee Wangsu informed that the centre is running with a 12-bed capacity, of which 10 are approved by the state government and 2 managed by the NGO.  
Launching CMHDDACRC’s website www.caremehome.in, the DC congratulated the recovered patients and the Chairperson on the occasion and urged the addicted government employees to come forward and declare voluntarily within July 31 next and undergo rehab treatment. He also divulged that he has submitted a proposal for one more drug de-addiction cum rehabilitation centre in Deomali to the Special Secretary SJETA which has further been recommended for approval. Speaking about the 63 KVA mini substation which is expected to benefit the nearby villages also with high voltage power supply, the DC informed that funds had been procured from DC’s Untied Fund. 
DHO T. Bam announced to provide flower and vegetable seeds to the centre. Circle Officer, Bari-Basip Nekong Perme, Deputy Director (WCD) Hacham Bangsia and ZPMs were among others who attended the event. DIPRO
