BANDERDEWA, Mar 2: Acting on a tip-off that a person from Assam is going to deliver Narcotic Drugs (Heroin) at Banderdewa area, Capital Police arrested one drug peddler with 25.84 gms suspected heroin on Tuesday last.
Following the information received from a reliable source,team of police led by Inspector Tadu Hassang OC ,Police Station Banderdewa along with Constable (Ct.) R. Tsering, Ct. T. Bomdom, Ct. D. Gupta, and Ct. J Koyu, intercepted a two-wheeler at Banderdewa near Dikrong bridge and arrested Ronjit Doley,( 43) of Pabobekli, Bihpuriya, Assam.
Two packets of pink coloured powder in soap case suspected to be contraband substance (heroin), mobile phone and a scooty bearing Assam registration number has been seized from Doley. Further, a case under NDPS Act has been registered.
