BANDERDEWA, Feb 7: In a major breakthrough under Operation Dawn 2.0, the Banderdewa Police arrested a drug peddler, identified as Dipak Panika, and seized 3 vials containing a suspected narcotic substance weighing 4.44 grams.
The operation was led by Sub-Inspector Sudhir Kr. Singh, along with SI (SG) Sunny S, ASI (SG) Suman Kr. Jha, and ASI (SG) Ravindra Nath Tagore, under the supervision of SDPO Naharlagun.
The arrest was made in connection with Case No. 13/2025, under Section 21(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
This successful operation forms part of the ongoing efforts by the ICR Naharlagun Police to curb drug trafficking and related illegal activities in the region. Authorities are committed to taking strong action against those involved in the drug trade to ensure the safety and well-being of the community, stated a release.
