ZIRO, Jul 1:

Consequent upon bandh call declared by the RHEP, Yazali, MoU Demand Committee on July 5-6 next, the chairman Central Dree Festival Committe, Ziro, Tapi Batt appealed its President to defer the date on account of Dree Festival celebration of the Apatani Community.

He informed that on attaining fiftieth year of unified Dree Festival celebration, this year the festival is being celebrated as Golden Jubilee year from July 4-9 next in a befitting manner. Informing further, that invitees/guests as well as Apatani brethrens who are outside Ziro will visit the Festival during the period, he urhed the committee to defer the bandh call till July 10 next.
