BOMDILA, Nov 17: To give effect to 33% reservation of seats for women in the upcoming PR polls in West Kameng district across 578 Gram Panchayats, 128 Gram Panchayat Chairperson seats and 14 ZPM seats, a draw of lots was held here on November 16.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (PR) Karma Leki highlighted the electioneering process and the lottery was conducted under vigil of various ADCs, EACs, Circle Officers and representatives of political parties. He appealed all to maintain the Covid-19 SOPs during election process and emphasized on the role to be played by the ADCs-cum-Returning Officers in making the elections free, fair and successful. SP B.R Bommareddy sought cooperation from the party representatives and common people in maintaining law and order during the entire election process.

More than hundred people including representatives from various political parties attended the meeting. DIPRO
