PASIGHAT, Dec 6:  Along with the rest of the nation, Mahaparinirvan Diwas was  observed here by the East Siang district administration in collaboration with the Pasighat Buddhist Society. 
Led by the Pasighat ADC Tatdo Borang floral tribute was paid to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Siang Guest House. Awareness on various schemes under Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) for SC/STs and other backward sections of society in the field of health, education & social sectors were made on the occasion. 
Vice-Principal, JNC, Dr. S.D. Choudhary shed light on the contribution of  the Chief Architect of the Constitution of India wherein economic and social justice, equality, liberty and dignity for every citizen have been enshrined  and  with special safeguards to the socially, economically backward and the minority. Tracing the life and struggles, he said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar devoted his life to the cause of working for the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of society.
