The 752 BRTF of Border Road Organization (BRO) has successfully finished the long awaited double laning of, 12 Km stretch of road from Roing to Anini recently.
The upgradation of road to double lane has transformed the road into a high-capacity and pedestrian-friendly alternative to earlier road of ninth class, thereby resulting in complete overhaul of the township and the market area, said Dr M Kishore Kumar Commander 752 BRTF.
The BRTF commander also disclosed that contemporary equipment such as bituminous hot mix plant, sensor paver, concrete batch mixing plant and transit concrete mixers are being used in road construction for ensuring top most quality.
He opined that with the double laning of road, it has not only heightened the beauty of the township together with hustle free movement of vehicular, but will also boost tourism and attract more tourists coming from Assam.
Meanwhile, when inquired about the delay in 600 meters stretch of road in the market area, the Commandant cited shortage of cement caused due to delay in tender work, however he promised to complete the remaining work within 3 months.
“The ongoing road work though it seemed easy but practically we faced lots of land acquisition problem but administration and public promptly supported us to expedite the pace,” informed GK Rasikan Second in Command 752 BRTF.
