CHANGLANG, Jun 12: In the ongoing efforts of the district health authority to attain the set out vaccination targets, five villages of Changlang on Saturday achieved a 100% Covid-19 vaccination coverage for the 45+ age group.
The villages are New Changlang and Longri under Changlang division, Namchik Havi in Kharsang Block and Kachang and Maithingpum under Miao Sub-division. The vaccination teams were led by EAC Dr Mary N Taloh, SDO Rakesh Rai and EAC Namrata Bhatt. To achieve the 100% vaccination target, DC Changlang Dr Devansh Yadav had earlier suggested identifying the 45+ beneficiaries on a village-wise basis. Administrative Officers were asked to select a village in their respective jurisdiction for the purpose and after the identification process and fixing of target, a team comprising the concerned Administrative Officer and medical officials with participation from the PRI members/public leaders conducted door-to-door vaccination.
Many more villages in the district are scheduled to be covered in coming weeks with the same plan of action. DIPRO
