NAHARLAGUN, Apr 15: The Arunachal Pradesh Doctors’ Association (APDA) on Wednesday launched its “Mission Sahayog” here at the mini secretariat.
As a part of it, APDA has contributed rations for 400 needy and poor families to the District Administration Capital Region. Director of Health Services Dr. M Lego and Director of Medical Education Dr. R D Khrimey handed over the ration items to ADC Capital Talom Dupak.
President, APDA Dr. Emi Rumi informed that during field visits and tracking duties doctors have noticed that many downtrodden families are facing difficulties in getting daily essential items due to the lockdown. “APDA has thus decided to come forward and contribute something for them and is delivering basic essential food items to at least 4000 families. We are handing over these essentials comprising 5 kg rice, 2 kg dal and 1kg salt for each of the needy families to the District Administration and they will distribute it to the affected families,” APDA President informed.
Dr. Rumi also said that if required, APDA will contribute further in the next phase for the lockdown-affected families.
