ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Legal Services Authorities in the State as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav started its 4th week of mass legal awareness programme today under “PAN-India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign”. The District Legal Services Authority, Upper Subansiri conducted its ongoing Legal Literacy at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Daporijo and Basar camp at G.B School, Basar were informed about various topics i.e Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act, 2012, Legal Aid Clinic, Right to Education Act,2009 , Para-Legal Volunteer Scheme, Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substance Act, Central and State Govt. Schemes for Children, Child Helpline.
The District Legal Services Authority, Tawang in collaboration with National Commission for Women (NCW) held a programme where 56 women actively participated and had an interactive session with one another on the grounds of Property Rights, POCSO Act,2012, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act,2005. District Upper Siang had Door to Door Legal Awareness programme at Simong and Kumku Village.
Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority(APSLSA), conducted its Legal Awareness using Mobile Van for the people of Lobi, Senki View and Divison 4 villages and also visited students and teaching staff of Agape Public School, Mob-C.
