PASIGHAT, Oct 25: East Siang, District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with International Human Right Organization IHRO) on the occasion of “United Nations Day” conducted free legal aid awareness programme through mobile van on Sunday at Sille, Oyan, Ruksin, Rayang, Debing villages under Pan India free legal awareness and outreach programme as a part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The beneficiaries were the villagers, daily wagers, farmers etc from marginalized section. 
Legal Aid Counsels informed the beneficiaries how to avail legal services and briefed about role and functions of Legal Aid Clinic, duties of Legal Aid Counsel, POCSO Act-2012, protection of women from domestic violence Act-2005, Arunachal Pradesh victim compensation scheme 2011, Lok Adalat, mobile Apps and various government scheme for girl child and also briefed on Universal Human Rights Charter.
