YUPIA, Jun 2: District Level Incident Response System Team (DLIRST) meeting for Papum Pare District  under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Pige Ligu was held here at   DC’s Conference hall, Yupia today to discuss the preparatory measures to coordinate the COVID-19 related activities in the district.
In view of surging Coronavirus positive cases in the state, the Deputy Commissioner –Cum- Incident Commander DLIRST, Pige Ligu said that we must aware the people  to stay alert  and prepared to fight against invisible Coronavirus by wearing  mask, use of hand sanitizers and social distancing. He also asked all health workers to   strengthen checks and prevention mechanisms to combat COVID-19 in the district thereby creating more awareness to address public panic arising due to misconceptions about Coronavirus.
SP Papum Pare, Jimmy Chiram designated Rescue and Safety Officer DLIRST also shared the containment plan of Papum Pare (rural) Police department and advised the health department to always take the help of Police during contact tracing as safety measure. He also emphasized on community participation and imparting proper training to all DLIRST members and field functionaries about their role and responsibilities.
DMO Dr.( Mrs) Subu Tasso Kampu also requested all to follow Dos and Don’ts to prevent Corona virus and all round support to all COVID warriors. Dr. (Mrs) R.R. Ronya District Surveillance Officer briefed the house about guidelines of Containment Plan of Papum Pare ( Rural) and related preparedness measures. All members of DLIRST were present. DIPRO
