ITANAGAR, Aug 3: The 5th edition of Dorjee Khandu Memorial State Open Badminton Championship-2017 which was scheduled to kick off on August 9 next in the state capital has been postponed by a day due to unavoidable circumstances.

The tournament would now be held from August 10 to 13 next. 

This was on Thursday informed by Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA), joint secretary (tournament) Nich Bapu, who informed that the decision was taken after an executive meeting of the association.

Accordingly the Grade-II State Umpires Examination-2017 would be held on August 8 to 10 next instead of August 7 and 8 as circulated earlier.     

The games of the coveted badminton championship which will be held in five categories – under-10, under-13, under-15, under-17, under-19 and open for boys and girls would be played out at the Raj Bhawan and MLA cottage badminton courts.
