ITANAGAR, Nov 13: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.), Chief Minister Pema Khandu and State Legislative Assembly Speaker Pasang D. Sona have extended their greetings on the occasion of Diwali and Children’s Day which will be observed simultaneously on Saturday.
In his Diwali greetings, the Governor has appealed to the state’s people to go for a noise and pollution free celebration along with observing all the COVID SOPs strictly. On the occasion of Children’s Day, he has appealed to the guardians and citizens to provide all-possible opportunities to the children so that they can excel in their chosen fields.
Extending Diwali greetings, the Chief Minister in his message said the best way to celebrate the festival of lights is to merge oneself in the inner light, reminding along with the need to take extra precautions amid the prevailing pandemic. Greeting the children on the occasion of Children’s Day he reminded that every kid is special regardless of race, religion and caste.
"May the festival of light usher in the true spirit of unity, harmony and prosperity in society," the Speaker said in his Diwali greetings to the state’s people. He has also extended greetings to all, particularly the children on the occasion of Children’s Day which commemorates the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of the country Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
