PASIGHAT, Oct 10: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), East Siang District organized a free legal aid awareness cum counselling and yoga session for the jail inmates of Sub-jail, Pasighat today on the occasion Mental Health Day.
The programme was held under Pan India Free Legal Aid Awareness and Outreach Programme as a part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Legal Services Day under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). This year’s theme is “Mental Health in an unequal World” and altogether 64 jail inmates and 18 police personnel participated in the awareness programme.
Retainer Advocate Denzing Sonowal highlighted the role and activities of Legal Services Authority which includes various legal services schemes for providing legal assistance to the marginalized and poor people. 
Psychologist Kenyam Pertin from the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) carried out one on one counselling with the inmates while the Yoga Therapist of Drug De-addiction Centre, Kajol Lego taught Yoga and meditation techniques. DIPRO
