CHANGLANG, Jun 26: District Congress Committee Changlang in its representation to the Chief Minister has sought his intervention for early restoration of the Changlang –Margherita road that was washed away on June 14 last.
In its representation, DCCC stated, that the Ione road, the Margherita-Changlang route, is the lifeline of Changlang District headquarters. There is no alternate route and the general public are facing lots of hardship.
Prolonged disruption of the lone road has jeopardized the supplies of essential commodities like LPG, fuel, food items medicines etc. It is very unfortunate that the District headquarter has been cut off from the rest of the country for more than a week and such a lackadaisical attitude of a people-friendly government is very unfortunate, it said in a release.
